DESCRIPTION
AlphaTex 4025 VCF is a medium weight, plain weave, aluminosilicate fiberglass fabric coated with a vermiculite compound that imparts excellent thermal resistance. The AlphaTex 4025 VCF base woven fabric is specifically designed and manufactured for greater thermal stability through high silica, alumina, and calcium oxide content and superior protection against corrosion under insulation with lower leachable ion potential versus incumbent products on the market today. AlphaTex 4025 VCF incorporates a high- temperature, flame retardant, vermiculite coating which provides excellent resistance to abrasion, flexing, tear and puncture.
ADVANTAGES
Greater thermal stability, lower propensity to contribute to corrosion under insulation, low flame-smoke- and toxicity, easily sewn, and has a thin lightweight profile.
APPLICATIONS
This product is the next generation in high-temperature removable pads, flange covers, and valve covers. Can be used as a flame or heat barrier material on many applications such as the hot side of insulation blankets, radiant heat shields and any other application where a thermal barrier is required.
