AVS Sewing Thread SI3S-24/PL is comprised of “S-2” Fiberglass with 3 strands of Inconel Wire. AVS Sewing Thread SI3S-24/PL is lubricated with PTFE and silicone oil to improve handling and sewing properties.
Application
AVS Sewing Thread SI3S-24/PL is intended for high temperature sewing applications with service temperatures up to 1400°F (760°C) for the S-2 Fiberglass and up to 2000°F (1093°C) for the Inconel wire resulting in good seam strengths.
AVS Sewing Thread SI3S-24/PL is ideal for sewing our standard E-glass fiberglass fabrics, FLXGLAS. HT specialty treated fiberglass fabrics, AVSil. silica fabrics, and Ultisil. HT specialty silica fabrics. Fabricated textile products include removable covers, thermal wraps, tube seals, blankets, insulation pads, and curtains.
