Alpha Thread SI3S-24/PL is comprised of “S-2” Fiberglass with 3 strands of Inconel Wire. Alpha Sewing Thread SI3S-24/PL is lubricated with PTFE and silicone oil to improve handling and sewing properties.
Application
Alpha Sewing Thread SI3S-24/PL is intended for high temperature sewing applications with service temperatures up to 1400°F (760°C) for the S-2 Fiberglass and up to 2000°F (1093°C) for the Inconel wire resulting in good seam strengths.
Alpha Sewing Thread SI3S-24/PL is ideal for sewing our standard E-glass fiberglass fabrics, FLXGLAS HT specialty treated fiberglass fabrics, AVSil® silica fabrics, and Ultisil HT specialty silica fabrics. Fabricated textile products include removable covers, thermal wraps, tube seals, blankets, insulation pads, and curtains.
