ALPHA MARITEX Style 2025/9480 meets the requirements of Coast Guard Specification 164.009 for fire-retardant material and is included in Military Specification MIL-C-20079G, Type 1, Class 10. Meets Military Specification MIL-I-24244B and NRC Guide 1.36.

APPLICATIONS Alpha Maritex Style 2025/9480 has been specifically designed for flange shield material by the U.S. Navy. Since it must meet Coast Guard Specification, a very low percentage of adhesive is used. Material should be tested prior to use for commercial applications.

ADVANTAGES Alpha Maritex Style 2025/9480 is finished with treatment #9383 to set the weave and reduce fraying when cut. This fabric is then laminated to aluminum foil to provide a vapor retarder and a barrier to water and oil.
